I have been learning to say rhyming words.  I found this hard because I had to spell the words. My next step is to do more words.

My Reflection

I have been learning to skip count in 2's and 5's.  I found this tricky because the 5's were really hard to do.  My  next step is to keep practising this.

Character Description

I have been learning to write a character description.  I found this tricky because it was hard to think of the words.  My next step is to keep learning new words.

Subtracting from Ten

My Reflection

I have been learning to add and subtract from 20.  I found this tricky because I had to work out the answers.  The number line helped me.  My next step is to try and do this in my head. 

Māori God Art

This is my Māori God Art.  We read a Māori myth called In the Beginning.  I drew Tawhirimatea and used some adjectives to describe him.  We used cool text to publish the words.  I enjoyed this activity.

I have been learning to use the pictures to help me read the words.  I found this tricky because I didn't know some of the words.  I looked at the pictures to help me.  My next step is to keep learning my sight words.

Recognising letters of the alphabet and words

My Reflection

I have been learning to recognise and say letters of the alphabet.  I found this a bit tricky to recognise the words.  My next step is to practising my words every day.

WALT solve multiplication problems using repeated addition.  I found this tricky because putting the counters in the arrays was hard.  My next step is to learn my times tables so I know the answer instantly.                                      

A Moment in Time

my reflection

I have been learning to use strategies to add detail to my writing. I wrote about a moment in time during my holiday. I used my 5 senses to add detail to my writing. The best part of this was when I thought of the adjectives. My next step is to use 3 adjectives in a row in one of my sentences.

My Pepeha Art

This is my Pepeha Art.  A pepeha is a way of introducing yourself in Maori.  I have included my maunga (mountain), my awa (river, my culture and a place which is special to me.  My favourite part of this was colouring the beach.  I enjoyed doing this art work. 

My Antoynom Diamantie Poem

My Reflection
I have been learning write an antonym Diamante poem. An antonym is a word that means the opposite of the word. A diamante poem is a poem that is in the shape of a diamond. I found this hard because I didn't know what a verb is. My next step is to use more interesting words than this time.
